Stamping die division
(1) Stamping dies can be divided into punching dies, drop dies, bending dies, forming dies, riveting dies and so on according to the processing elements.
(2) stamping die according to the degree of process combination can be divided into engineering mold, composite mold, continuous mold.

1. Engineering mold
Project mold (Stage Die) refers to the press in a stamping stroke, in a station to complete only one process (such as punching, bending, forming, etc.) of the die. A sheet metal part requires one or more sets of engineering dies to complete the stamping. The more complex the part, the more sets of engineering dies are required.

2. Compound Die
Compound Die refers to a press that completes multiple stamping processes at the same time in one station during a single stroke.
Typical composite dies are punching drop composite die, the mold in the same station to complete the punching and drop two processes.
/ / Many places do not have the concept of composite mold this kind of mold. Directly categorized as a single punch.

3. Progressive Die
Continuous Die (Progressive Die), also known as progressive die, refers to the press in a stamping stroke, in several different stations at the same time to complete multiple processes of the die.
Some sheet metal parts can be stamped with only one set of progressive dies. For mass-produced sheet metal, it would be inefficient to manually load strips on different presses to be processed in a single process die. It is often more reasonable to use a multi-station die on a single press if the number of pieces being processed justifies the cost of additional tooling. The stations in the die allow for different punching, forming and shearing operations as the sheet is fed progressively through the die. In order to achieve progressive movement, the sheet metal is obtained from purchased coils of the desired width and is automatically fed through the die by means of a coil feed device mounted next to the press.
